Obituary of August Karl Schmucki

AUGUST K. SCHMUCKI age 81 of Jefferson passed away Thursday June 3, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Fort Atkinson. He was born in Switzerland son of the late Anton J. and Sophie (Ruegg) Schmucki. August married Pia Gehweiler in October of 1954. He was a self employed Wood Craftsman. He enjoyed working with wood and would spend many hours perfecting his craft. August and Pia moved to Jefferson in 1965. He is survived by he wife Pia Schmucki one daughter; Marita (David) Doty of Kiowa Colorado, one son Peter (Holly) Schmucki of Eagle Wisconsin. One grandson; Grant Geissler. And many relatives in Switzerland. He is preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday June 6, 2010 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with Pastoral Associate Kate deBruin officiating, burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday June 7th, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Jefferson. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson is assisting the family with arrangements.
