Obituary of Daniel Lee Wedl

DANIEL “DAN” LEE WEDL 56, passed away at his home in Jefferson on Monday, February 20, 2023. Dan was born on June 11, 1966, in Fort Atkinson to Dick and Judy (Gruennert) Wedl. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1984. After working in landscaping for many years, he most recently owned and operated his own company,

Wedl’s Landscaping. Dan was a lover of the outdoors, and over the years enjoyed playing volleyball, mountain biking, skiing, bow hunting, observing nature, and wildlife photography. He was a loyal fan of the Brewers and the Packers and was always eager to play a rousing game of cards, especially Sheepshead. He was a thoughtful and giving grandson, son, nephew, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor, ready and willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He was generous with his time and with his love. He will be missed by his parents, Dick and Judy Wedl, Jefferson; siblings Rebecca (Justin Birnbaum) Wedl, Madison, Bobbi (Casey Judd) Wedl, Whitewater, Brian (Amanda Darrow) Wedl, Nevada, and Nate Wedl, Jefferson; nieces and nephews Madeline Birnbaum, Caleigh and Aidan Judd, and Fynn and Grey Wedl; and the many other relatives and friends whose lives he touched over the years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
