Obituary of Bruce E. Patterson

BRUCE E. PATTERSON age 59 of McFarland passed away on March 9, 2022, at the University Hospital in Madison.  Bruce was born on October 27, 1962, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Douglas and Barbara (Paulmier) Patterson.  Bruce served in the United States Air Force from 1981-1984.  He worked as a chef for Capitol Take Out, Paoli School House in Paoli, Johnny’s Italian Steak House and Noodles & Company in Monona.  Bruce loved cooking, baking, gardening, canning, building things and working on his house.  He enjoyed music, shopping, and he was an avid Wisconsin Badgers Fan.

Bruce is survived by his wife Honor Williams of McFarland, sons, Brent (Jamie) Patterson of Jefferson, Erik (Shanna) Patterson of Jefferson, Tjay Patterson of Sullivan, stepchildren, Collin (Erin) Williams of Stoughton, Mitchell (Heather) Williams of Oregon; Eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  Siblings, Debby (Wayne) Boyd of Watertown, Lori Johnson of Jefferson, James (Sandra) Patterson of Mauston, and his father Douglas Patterson of TX and his faithful companions Bailey and Bear; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Patterson, brother, Steven Patterson and granddaughter, Jordan Patterson, and Uncle James Paulmier.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 26, 2022, at the Schneider-Michaelis funeral home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Kellen Roggenbuck presiding. A gathering time will be at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be at a later date in the Whig cemetery in Platteville.
